Your welcome pack contains all the information you’ll need. Please note Barlwyd has a self-check-in process. It is extremely important to watch the videos and read the Welcome Pack. We suggest you download this for safekeeping.

Barlwyd Glamping Map

  • The huts have no mains access to power or water. We will provide you with a battery pack for charging your phone. The lights and fridge are connected to a battery that you will connect behind the hut. There is also limited hot water in the showers. Please refer to the videos in your welcome pack for details, or give reception a call if you have further questions.

    • Extra battery packs if needed (there are no power outlets in Barlwyd Glamping)

  • We allow one dog to stay at Barlwyd Glamping. Your dog must be on a lead at all times due to proximity to local livestock. Any harm to livestock will be charged to the owner of the dog.

    Dogs must not be left alone in the Shepherd's Hut.

    You must bring your own dog bed. Dogs are not allowed on the beds.

    A Dog charge of £20.00 applies to allow for additional cleaning on departure which must be booked directly with the accommodation.

    Your dog must not create a nuisance to other guests. We reserve the right to ask you to remove your dog if complaints are raised.

  • Barlwyd Glamping has self-check-in. Your hut number and buggy number are in your confirmation email. You will drive to the Golf Buggy Parking:

    1.Come off the A470 when you arrive at our site.

    2. Drive straight past Plas Weunydd Hotel, the big Victorian building on your left-hand side.

    3. Keep going until you reach a fork in the road and take a left up the hill.

    4. Drive about 300 meters to the top of the big hill where you get to a sharp left corner.

    5. You will need to drive past the level 5 car park on your left. Then take the next left to the Barlwyd Glamping Car Park. This entrance is signed.

  • No, the Shepherd Huts are located at the top of a hill, which is inaccessible by car. When booking, we will ask for your check-in time, and our team will meet you at the car park and show you how to use the buggy which you can use to go back and forth to the Shepherd Hut for your stay.

  • Please use our area guide here.

  • Guests are required to follow marked routes and public footpaths only, and must stay clear of any old buildings, lakes and ponds they might come across while exploring.

  • We provide you with 1 x bag of logs, kindling and fire lighters but you may need more. If you would like more in advance please let us know and we can add them to your booking for a cost of £9.99 and pop them to the hut for you. You can then pay for them over the phone or when checking in. If you end up needing more logs during your stay, please call the out of hours number and we will provide you with the code for the log box behind your hut.
